We use two simple, validated questions to identify those with food need:
“In the past 12 months, have you worried about food?”
“In the past 12 months, have you had difficulty paying for food?”
Distribution Milestones
Our goal is to distribute 300 food boxes by October 1, 2025. As of May 12, we have successfully delivered 226 boxes to patients. Every contribution from our team, volunteers, and community partners helps make this effort possible.
Nutrition Education and Cooking Classes
Our commitment extends beyond food distribution. We are pleased to announce that our second round of nutrition education and cooking classes began on May 9. This round now includes fresh produce distribution, which enhances the nutritional quality for participants.
Moving Forward Together
We are making a real difference in the lives of cancer patients by addressing food insecurity. It is a complex challenge, but our commitment to expanding food box distribution and providing educational opportunities promotes better quality of life for those facing cancer.
Let us continue to advance our cause, knowing that each action contributes to a healthier community.
